I believe there is a new model available though. The reason I purchased this camera over a Cannon or Sony is because at the time this was the only pro-sumer camera (below $2K) that had a cold shoe on top for my wireless mic and was a 3CCD HD HiDef Camera. Cannon tends to integrate with Mac software easier but I was able to download a conversion codec to watch and export the JVC format.
