Website is in development. I am experienced as an all round video user. Professionally I am a technical graphic expert and a consultant in the style and format required by aerospace manufacturers, car companies, military services and government agencies. I developed the process and techniques to deliver wiring diagrams on a laptop PC to the using technician. Developed requirements and assisted in developing the software to create and organize the wiring information to meet the needs of the using technicians. Recent animation addditions to the CGM standard allow line drawings to move and video capture is being developed.
You have a great site and I’ll be back to keep up.
Ray-
Thanks for the comment, glad to see another video guy on here.
Jeff
Thanks, Jeff, for this report: it rocks.
I’ve had my own video and still photography company since 2000 and really appreciate some of your insights. Many of the videos I have online are for my daughter’s CD release, hosted on WordPress – here’s a music video I created: http://bit.ly/12nUNA
But I also use video for Lead Generation and created a video about Lead Generation which is a Lead Generation give-away magnet (wow… how many times could I say Lead Gen in one sentence! lol) and that is at http://bit.ly/me7q
Sure hope lots of folks get your materials. Thanks so much for taking the time to help all of us.

Excellent report…scanned through it, now I want to go back and read it carefully. Video is totally the way to go. Look at all the people killing it online…all use video.
Thanks for this, I’m now feeling inspired!
This is a great resource. Thanks for putting it together for us. I just started to do video marketing and video advertising a few months ago and think it’s great especially for local businesses. When you mix in your seo and get the right keywords to target and put your link in the description you’ll get a ton of link backs and boost your url quick.
Thanks,

I’m on Frank Kern’s mailing list so I received his prompt to check out your free report. YOU have quite a story! Reading it was so engaging that the time it took flew by (if you will) completely UNnoticed!
No doubt, if you poured the same passion into your Internet Marketing efforts that you did into becoming a Fighter Pilot, you cannot help but be a winner.
Thank you so much for sharing your story.
Additionally, may I suggest two things?
1.) Sign up for an account at Disqus.com. The name is pronounced Dis-cuss because the website is ALL about collecting comments (discussions) from ACROSS the web re: your sites.
2.) Put a Google Friends Connect widget on this site so you can continue to interact with people who find your stuff valuable WHEREver they are across the net!
I have it on my blog at: http://deejayhart.com and I found out about Google Friend Connect from Simon U Ford, creator of EventsListed.com. Check him out. I think you’ll find him to be terrifically interesting. He’s all over YouTube for a reason — very knowledgeable and a GREAT teacher.
Peace and Love to you,
DeeJay
The little one-click icon at the bottom of your blog is VERY cool. I like the idea of so easily being able to create an on-the-spot video comment.
Again, Peace and Love to you,
DeeJay
Hey Jeff,
Nice report! Seems we have a lot in common. I actually found it spooky that many of the same concept you talk about I also am a champion of in my video marketing product Screencast Profits. I focus on using screencast videos made with Camtasia but everything you talked about is dead on.
Oh…and I’m totally jealous of your fighter experience! I’m just a guy who always wanted to fly and got his private ticket later in life…one of the best things I ever did!
Thanks again and hope we can work together somehow.
Keep the shiny side up and the dirty side down,

Jeff,
Just so you know, this blog ROCKS too. I’ve been swamped by people coming to see my Lead Generation video at http://bit.ly/72nFU
I kept scratching my head (and hey, I buzz my head, so nothing left to pull out so all I can do is scratch) because I couldn’t figure out why I my server was being hit so many times for my video.
And now I’ve traced it back to you!
Hey, let everyone know: Video Works. Keep coming here to learn more.

You have done our way easy to reach with VIDEO. Thanks alot…

Hi, nice post. I have been thinking about this issue,so thanks for posting. I will definitely be coming back to your site.
I have 4 sites where I’ll be using this immediately. Can’t wait to get your tips so I can start the ball rolling. Great job,Great video! Right to the point . It really got me excited and motivated to act and search for your confirmation email. Thank You
Hi,
Hmm instead of adjusting audio for an hour in post with a cheap camera, why not just spend another $100 and get a camera with an external mic input and get good audio up front. And one that lets you see the image so you can get good framing while filming. Cheap flip cams are cool for run around video but for marketing videos? Not so sure unless you do it at five feet in a quiet room and good lighting.
Cheers
*Kevin* I agree completely but there are a large number of marketers on a tight budget or already own a Flip camera. For higher quality videos we like to use a 3CCD camera that films in HD and use a Sennheiser mic. -Herschy
Dear Jeff,
For 2.5 yrs. after a spinal cord injury that cost me my job as primary bread winner in my family, I stayed on the couch, feeling like a victim. I emerged from that period a stronger person, giving testimonial to the fact that that which doesn’t kill us makes us stronger. I have a vision of a website for the disabled that will address specifically survival skills after an inury or illness. I have two friends at two different disability sites, encouraging me to GET MY WEBSITE UP, so they can feature me to a combined list of over 22K!
Adding video to my site would assist in communicating the actual tools and methods I use to work from home-even though I am an incomplete quadraplegic! The video would help to increase my traffic quickly and assist in monetizing my website for income. Using nothing but high quality presentation would help build rapport with my customers and aid in my ultimate goal of having an interactive forum. As for constraints, I have physical issues, extreme financial issues (having been turned down by SSI) and the biggest issue of all- a short period of time that I have to create an income for me, so that I can keep the things I have workd for all these years. Thanks. Twitter me at http://twitter.com/barbiwilliamson :+)
Hey I am totally new to all this but I have been inspired by your story Jeff.
Recently made redundant but feel free to choose something completely different.
Loved the videos, especially the answer to the flip audio problem.I have used Audacity but didn’t know that you could import a quicktime mov. file into it and just get the audio.I have been looking forward to the re-launch of QVM and I want to start with clickbank and affiliate schemes, then I have products of my own to promote/market.Now I know why I love playing with imovie and recently Final Cut Express, because like you Jeff, I had no intention of making a film.
regards….speak soon
Alan T
*Edit* Alan- Thanks for the comment and kind words, I look forward to working with you in QVM. -Herschy
What a wealth of information you are offering for free Herschy! I’ve learned so much from you already. Can’t wait to start implementing it all! I’m very impressed with all you’ve been doing! Thanks so much.

I want to get going on your programme as I want to
do video marketing on YouTube and other social sites.
Jeff’s intro video sold me!
But first please tell me the most appropriate flip camera
to get? I saw the Kodak Zi6 as it’s a got a 2.5″ screen
and rechargeable batteries, plus memory card etc is that
suitable?
Thanks
Pete
Great stuff! I’ve recently expanded into video myself and eager to pick up all the tips on video possible. Thanks!
Hi, interesting post. I have been thinking about this issue,so thanks for sharing. I’ll likely be subscribing to your site. Keep up the good posts
Herschy,
Can you give everyone some insights into your UstreamTV tweet stats from the pre-launch? I see this as a potentially VERY large opportunity for people to create their own “twibes” within niches….
You indicated 400-500 tweets for the Flip camera or about 100 per day. You also indicated 10% of people who opted in retweeted the message. Does that mean that you have 1000 people signed up for the course? If so, congrats!
Signed-up tonight bud. I’ve been busy as all heck at work this week and then working on my website/blog and haven’t had the chance to join up until tonight.

Good stuff! Thanks for sharing the Free guide on marketing w/Video. It was very well done. Also, thanks for sharing your fighter pilot story – I thought you were joking or fibbing at first just because it is so difficult to achieve what you did – impressive!

Hi, Thanks for article. Everytime like to read you.

Jeff,
I rarely make comment or do posts but you deserve credit for being a great marketer. I’ve been casually studying internet marketing for the last year, have bought a few programs which is how I undoubtedly got on your list. But your Quickie Videos is my next purchase. I did use a bit of what I learned in your free material to incorporate into my ministry website http://www.livingsupernaturally.com, I even called it a quickie video (three minutes or less).
Like most people who get on list, I’m inundated with multiple requests everyday, but from all I see, and have read, you are the real deal, have paid the dues and are worth listening to.
My intent is to do more with helping others to launch products and am looking forward to taking your course after the first of the year.
Thanks,
David
