Improving Your Flip Video Camera’s Audio

We recently came across a few simple and easy ways to increase the overall audio volume and quality when using a Flip Video Camera.
The first video will provide you with an overview of what we’ve found and a FREE and easy way to increase the audio and overall perceived value of your Flip Videos. This video will also walk Mac users through the process using Audacity, a free audio editing program, and iMovie.

I was not 100% happy with the end result of the video ( It got a little blurry) so I made you a short 16 Step checklist, with pictures and screen shots, to walk you through the process as well.

This is basic sound engineering 101.You can also use Soundforge,Wavlabs,cooledit or any sound editor to do this etc.
The novice wouldn’t know this so yes its useful to share.

QVM Response: Thanks for the feedback, JJ. Yes, this is basic for sound engineering, but with the number of people out there that are using the Flip these days, we thought it would be helpful, nevertheless, since it’s a quick fix.
Creating the video content wasn’t hard for me, because the videos dont have to be perfect to be effective. The problem for me was getting traffic from my video. I literally searched everywhere and tried tons of sites and I found diversifying the uploading was helpful. Another thing that helped was getting a free account with http://www.Adwido.com because they helped me develop a marketing campaign through keyword-targeting and cross-promting. This was the traffic boost I was looking for.
I have a problem with importing my files to Movie Maker because they show up as mpeg4 files not avi files, which i guess are not compatible. So I need to know was it something I did on my end to make it do that or do I have to convert the files first, and if so how?
I really needed the video you just gave us for free. I just have bought a Flip Video Camera and was very dissappointed at the sound volume. Thank you so much for showing us the work around. It is just what I needed.

Thanks, great content (I can do with sound engineering 101), extremely helpful for someone who is starting with video marketing.
I wonder if you have come across the following problem:
I have a Flip and am using Windows Live Movie Maker on Windows 7. I’ve done a few video clips, imported them into WLMM and discovered that they have gone out of sync.
Searching various forums on Google I found that others have had this problem, too, but no one had a solution.
Have you come across this before? DO you know of a solution? Or would I have to do this sort of work around to get over the sync problem.
I am definitely going to check out your products plus the affiliate link.

Hi,
I found a solution to the Flip-Windows Live Movie Maker problem:
Don’t use WLMM, use Windows Movie Maker 2.6, instead (based on your last video).
However, as WMM 2.6 does not import MP4 files, you have to save the video as a movie from inside the Flip dashboard first. This will generate a WMA file of the video and that can then be imported and edited in WMM 2.6 without further problems.
